›nomadic series‹

The ›nomadic series‹ show different works that deal with the themes of ephemerality, flexibility and localization.
The ›Jurten‹ function as variable filigree spatial object and quickly adapt to the exhibition environment. Formally, it makes use of nomadic living concepts. At the same time, the installed grid is particularly suitable for transport due to its robust, but light physics and the simple assembly and disassembly. The dimensions of the ›Jurten‹ can vary between 0,6 and 20m width. Thus its form of presentation also changes depending on location and environment. It takes on the role of fast localization and remains both surface and ephemeral spatial drawing.

The sculpture from the series ›sea marks‹ is based on the shape of the buoy, a marking in the open field of the ocean. The filigree outdoor sculpture must be tied up so that it is not carried away by the wind.

The drawing ›site flora‹ shows a drawing of a grass coming out of the wall. Anarchically, nature penetrates solid structures that seem inimical to life and conquers building sites, empty spaces and forgotten corners.

The video ›write in water‹ shows a short scene in which the artist writes a short text in water. The idea goes back to an ancient Greek phrase that understands writing in water as a metaphor of a magical ineffectiveness.

The dress ›locate me‹ consists of a digitally printed silk fabric. The print shows a screenshot from Google Maps of a random place in the Atlantic. The app, which is used for location and navigation, shows over large parts of the deep sea the sonography of the ocean ground; a three-dimensional reconstruction, which wants to visualize the shallows of the ocean with the help of echosounders and sound images. The sewn dress interweaves the perception of the deep sea with one‘s own physical perception.
